Four individuals suffered serious injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in Milton, near the intersection of Derry and Trafalgar Rd.

Four individuals suffered serious injuries after a multi-vehicle collision in Milton, near the intersection of Derry and Trafalgar Rd.

Halton police responded at approximately 7:05 p.m. Sunday to reports that a 24-year-old male resident of Mississauga was operating a 2008 Toyota Camry eastbound on Derry Road when the vehicle crossed the center line and struck a westbound 2016 Volkswagen Jetta.

The driver of the Volkswagen, a 35-year-old male resident of Milton, was transported to hospital along with three other passengers that were inside the Volkswagen.

The driver of the Camry was not injured.

“Due to the nature of the injuries, the Halton Regional Police Collision Reconstruction Unit responded to assist in the investigation,” according to Halton Regional Police Service. “Further assessments were conducted of all four identified hospitalized individuals at which point their medical statuses were eventually updated to having suffered from non-life threatening injuries.” 

The collision scene was held for approximately four hours for the investigation and roadway cleanup.
