5 Boxing Day Sales Across Halton

Published December 22, 2017 at 5:53 pm

Christmas hasn’t even arrived yet but that doesn’t mean you can’t start thinking about where you’ll be doing your Boxing Day shopping this year.

Boxing Day – the time when tiny, bespectacled children and elderly grandmothers with walkers are trampled underfoot as people stampede towards discounted DVDs and toilet paper.

While we recently fully welcomed Black Friday to our neck of the woods, Boxing Day has always been a consumerist extravaganza for Canadian shoppers and there are a lot of great deals to be had this year.

Here are five places to check out in the Halton Region for some great Boxing Day deals!

Boxing Day shopping begins at 6 a.m. in Halton Hills. Find great savings from your favourite stores, including Michael Kors, kate spade new york, Coach, Cole Haan, Ted Baker, NIKE, Jimmy Choo, Burberry, Stuart Weitzman and more. Stores are open until 11 p.m. If you’re driving, keep in mind there’s additional overflow parking available at the southwest corner of Steeles Ave W. and Trafalgar Rd. Complimentary shuttle is available to the mall. Service operates every 15 minutes in a continuous loop. The shuttle pickup point is the Coffee Time shelter and dropoff is the Theatre Court (southeast corner of the mall).

If you’re a big Mapleview enthusiast – and who isn’t – you’ll be happy to know that the mall has Boxing Day deals on tap. This Burlington hotspot is opening early, at 7 a.m. (until 7 p.m.) for the big day. But you’ll have to check the mall’s promo listings to find out which retailers are offering up sweet deals.

Oakville Place

The Leighland Ave. mall has received a $40 million facelift of sorts, which included the modernization of indoor common areas and exterior improvements, renovation of the Hudson Bay store (I’ve scored some incredible deals here over the summer), replacement of the parking deck, and the introduction of retailers such as Pusateri’s Fine Foods, Sephora, and Pandora. And now, Boxing Day sales are taking place from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Doors are opening at Burlington Centre at 9 a.m. and the Centre will remain open until 6 p.m. The Centre, which recently completed it $60 million redevelopment, has more than 140 stores from Bowring to Soft Moc to Winners. You can see the sweet deals and promos here.

Best Buy

If you want to get your man or woman cave set up in time for the New Year, Best Buy is probably already on your radar. Stores have not yet released their Boxing Day hours, however, we will provide updates when they do. Boxing Day sales at Best Buy, however, will feature products from top brands including Apple, PlayStation, Xbox, HP, and more.

Online Boxing Day sales will start at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24.

Best Buy store locations in Halton are as follows:

Oakville: 2500 Winston Park Dr.

Burlington: 1200 Brant St.

Milton: 1195 Maple Ave.

Happy deal-hunting, all!
