This elegant Main St. resto is perfect for a date … a pizza date. As soon as I enter I’m greeted, whisked to a table, and promptly served. The sounds of Frank Sinatra fill the elegant, open concept space, where it’s warm and inviting, with tons of natural light. My Neapolitan pizza - with organic natural yeast - was lit up in a wood-fire oven, then served piping hot. It’s incredible, with a very thin crust, and the toppings (namely salomi ) were phenomenal. It’s so simple (tomato sauce, Buffalo Mozzarella, basil, and extra virgin olive oil) yet so scrumptious. Service was absolutely outstanding — never have I seen a restaurant where all staff are smiling and happy. No wonder diners have been flocking here since 2002. If you haven’t been to Pasqualino, check it out - when you’re not in a rush - and savour the best pizza in Milton!
Seasoned with Middle Eastern spices and served with a special Lebanese twist, this burger was surprisingly delicious. A well-done patty, house-made, was complemented by lettuce, tomato, and garlic sauce (complete with a smiley face!) and a soft sesame-seed bun. The unassuming restaurant in a residential plaza on Pinegrove Rd. is a west-end staple and favourite in Oakville, and now you know they've also got great burgers!
Essentially everything on the menu at the Gingerman is fantastic, including their burgers and fries. The hand-cut Yukon gold fries are sprinkled with sea salt. They just hit the spot to the point where I could finish a massive platter of them for a solid, carb-filled, fatty meal. Same goes for the nachos. (Hopefully the cranky old guy who runs my gym doesn’t read this … or it will probably be death by burpee). Chase your meal with a glass of their hand-picked wine selection if you fancy vino, or be cool like me and order a whisky sour. The restaurant offers a great atmosphere with tons of wood and natural light, and is also known for its blue goose quesadilla, lettuce wraps, and salads.
They plate their meals beautifully and even offer bike racks out front. Kerr Street Cafe and sister company Brothers' Coffee Roasters (their Notorious espresso blend is fire!) are known for being on point. Their famous all-day breakfast includes French Toast (with sesame brioche, toasted coconut, blueberry mascarpone, and almond butter), Coconut Chia Pudding, and Wildflower Honey Pancakes (with rosemary custard, local fruit compote, brulee banana, bee pollen, creme fraiche, and pollen). Lunch offers up Frites, Fish Tacos, and an Open Faced Meatball Sandwich using house-made pork patties and toasted sourdough. This Kerr Village staple, featuring a cafe and restaurant, has such a relaxing atmosphere (with plenty of natural light) it's second only to a day at the spa. Or a day trip to New York City, because it feels like I’m at a posh cafe near Columbia University. The resto began serving dinner and the latest menu features a Farmhouse Platter with cheese, fresh figs, prosciutto, rosemary crackers, warm salted potatoes, and beet-dyed eggs. What made us even happier were the pistachios … bon appetit!
There's good chicken and there's chicken that's tasty as cluck (that wasn't a typo). Brant St. is home to this fun, laidback resto ... you may recognize the name from Hamilton's original King St. W. location. Doors opened in March 2017 and locals are flocking to the place. Featuring lunch, dinner, and boozy weekend brunch, Coop Wicked Chicken offers fresh in-house food made with high-quality ingredients. Offerings include Deep-Fried Deviled Eggs (fantastic!), Sriracha Honey Cauliflower (for the vegans in your life), Hardcore Pulled Chicken Poutine, and Chicken & Waffles topped with an egg — this was absolutely phenomenal. The atmosphere is unpretentious and fun. Service is great.
