So you’re looking to get far, far away.

Or at least a few hours away to escape the city and relax.

If you’re looking for an epic spa destination where you can load your friends, family, or just yourself into a car and get away for a day trip or even a few days, you’ve come to the right place.

There are a ton of cool spas for your bucket list that are perfect for a road trip.

Here are 5 epic spas to road trip to outside of the city, in no particular order.

5) Scandinave Spa

Just about two hours away from the city, you can escape to an awesome experience at Scandinave Spa – that’s at Blue Mountain. It’s so worth the drive! You’ll want to book their services early, because they get busy quickly. The spa is located on 25 acres of natural Ontario birch, Canadian maple and pine trees, and offers a Scandinavian bath experience of hydrotherapy. They’ve also got different kinds of massages, including a Swedish massage, a sports massage, a hot stone massage, and even one for pregnant women. The highlight is the baths, though – don’t miss out and book yourself a traditional bath experience here. You deserve it. Scandinave is featured in our cover photo, courtesy of Facebook.

4) Ste. Anne’s Spa

Take a trip up to Canada’s largest spa getaway destination in Grafton, Ont. for an unforgettable experience! You can book accommodations on-site, and indulge in a variety of massages, heat and hydrotherapy treatments, and a range of facials. One of the best parts of a trip to Ste. Anne’s is the food, though. Complete with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and even high tea, you’re in for a treat. Don’t forget to visit Ste. Anne’s Bakery on your way out to grab some sweets and continue your well-deserved treat.

3) Sterling Inn & Spa

Niagara is – of course – also a great place to go for a wine tour if you’re looking to amp up your relaxation experience. Why not go all the way?

2) The Nordik Spa

Whichever services you book, keep in mind that there’s another major bonus in planning a relaxing trip to the Nordik Spa – you’re bound to hear sexy. Quebecois. Accents.

1) Langdon Hall

For anyone looking for a slightly shorter day trip, you should definitely head to Langdon Hall. It’s a cozy country house hotel and spa that’ll relax you from head to toe. Indulge in a majestic facial (no, seriously, there’s a majestic facial here and it costs almost $600), a simple mani and/or pedi, a body scrub or wrap, or any variety of massage, from relaxation, to couples, to even a Thai massage. It’s only fitting to spend the night at Langdon and enjoy a nice meal and super cozy accommodations, and even explore the property. Walking trails, a poolside lounge, and even a beautiful garden will definitely help relax you before you get back to the grind in the city.
