7 people charged after police seize drugs worth over $156,000 in Hamilton and Burlington

Seven people have been charged and illicit drugs worth more than $156,000 were seized from residences in Hamilton and Burlington over the past month, say Hamilton police.

Members of the major drug and gangs unit executed residential, vehicle and trailer search warrants on Nov. 9. As a result, they seized over 280 grams of suspected cocaine, over one kilogram of fentanyl, one ounce of methamphetamine, as well as codeine and oxycodone pills, according to Hamilton police in a press release today (Nov. 15).

Moreover, detectives found a handgun, a prohibited extended magazine and other illegal weapons, and numerous rounds of ammunition.

Logan Keoun, 22, of Hamilton was charged with possessing heroin, cocaine and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking. He was also accused of owning a prohibited firearm and weapon.

Sarann Nop, 39, of Burlington was charged with possessing fentanyl and opioid for the purpose of trafficking and acquiring proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Heather Balloch, 33, was charged with possessing fentanyl and opioid for the purpose of trafficking. She also is accused of acquiring proceeds of crime over $5,000.

Douglas Burley, 44, of Hamilton is accused of possessing cocaine and fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking.

Roger James, 55, of Hamilton is charged with possessing cocaine for trafficking.

Jessica Keoun, 21, of Hamilton is charged with possessing cocaine for trafficking.

Ly Keoun, 49, of Hamilton is charged with possessing cocaine for trafficking.

“Your cooperation is crucial in maintaining the safety of our community,” police said.

Since the start of 2023, Hamilton police said they confiscated a total of 130 crime-related firearms.

“This underscores our commitment to removing dangerous weapons from circulation and preventing potential violence,” it stated.
