A special waste drop-off day planned for Burlington

A special waste drop-off day is coming up in Burlington.

Halton residents can bring household hazardous waste and electronics to the Burlington Closed Landfill from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, June 3.

To make the recycling of household hazardous waste and electronic waste more convenient for residents, Halton Regional holds special drop-off days throughout the year.

The special waste drop-off days are for Halton residents only and no commercial waste is accepted.

The Burlington Closed Landfill Site is located at 367 North Service Rd. in Burlington.

The types of waste collected included propane tanks, fluorescent lights, medications, household cleaners, car batteries, computers, monitors, TVs, printers and video games.
