Allegedly impaired driver arrested after knocking down street light in Burlington

Police say a driver made quite the scene when their vehicle knocked down a street light this evening.
The collision happened near Halton Police’s 30 Division in Burlington, police reported at 9:51 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
“After knocking down a light standard with their vehicle, they were easily located and arrested,” said police.
Police say the driver provided breath samples indicating a BAC more than twice the legal limit.
In addition to an impaired driving charge, the driver’s vehicle will be impounded for seven days and licence suspended for 90 days.
