Aldershot’s Christmas tree lighting is being held Saturday, Nov. 3, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Downsview Plaza.

The annual event is hosted by Aldershot Village BIA and has become a favourite activity in Burlington.

Some of the new activities this year include a Hand Bell choir from St. Mathew’s Church and the Enchorus Children’s Choir.

The Holiday Vendor Market, which is always a hit with shoppers, will have some new vendors this year.

Families can enjoy a visit with Santa and everyone is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Compassion Society of Halton & Burlington Food Bank to Cram A Cruiser with the Halton Police.

Also back this year is the horse-drawn carriage rides, which will have to be pre-booked. A link is coming soon.

The lighting of the tree and Plains Road will take place at 6 p.m.
