Update those resumes and make sure your shoes are shined — Halton Region is hosting a job fair in Oakville this month with 90 local employers.
“Halton’s strong economy, surge in job growth and low levels of unemployment make us a leading regional municipality in Ontario,” said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr.
“The Halton Regional Job Fair is a great opportunity for talented job seekers to connect with employers from a variety of industries.”
Halton is home to 23 of the top 500 fastest growing companies in Canada, according to Canadian Business magazine.

The Region’s robust economy attracts employers from diverse industries such as advanced manufacturing, information technology, healthcare, financial services and more.
Each year, Employment Halton’s two offices in Milton and Oakville support nearly 12,500 job seekers and more than 200 employers by providing free services such as training, placements and access to online job boards.
Job-seekers can attend employment workshops and get assistance from on-site staff to create resumes, prepare for interviews, or engage in career planning.
The event is taking place on Tuesday, April 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oakville Conference & Banquet Centre (2515 Wyecroft Rd., Oakville).
Job seekers are invited to bring their resumes.
