Assault at Georgetown high causes hold and secure at local schools

The hold and secure at several Georgetown schools has been lifted.
Police have a suspect in what they’re calling a targeted assault on a Georgetown District High School student.
Halton police are now searching for a youth suspect in the incident.

There is a heavy police presence at Georgetown District High School in Halton Hills following a student being injured during an assault.
According to Halton police, several other local school are in a hold and secure, including Holy Cross Elementary, Christ the King Secondary and Gary Allan.
No arrests have been made and police are investigating.
