Attempted Murder Charge Laid in Oakville Stabbing

A 22-year-old man is facing an attempted murder charge following a stabbing in Oakville.

The incident took place on Sept. 7 shortly after 9:30 p.m.

A physical altercation took place between two patrons at the Kerr Street Pub & Grill at 580 Kerr St.

Halton police arrived to find no one, learning the suspect had stabbed the male victim multiple times.

The victim went to an area hospital and received treatment for serious but non-life threating injuries.

Investigators found the man at a Burlington home during the early morning hours of Sept. 9.

Joshua Paul Thevenin, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with attempted murder.
