A breakfast celebrating International Women’s Day is being held next month in Milton.

Haltech, a strategic connector and educator for startups across Halton and beyond, is hosting HERhalton International Women’s Day Breakfast, celebrating the accomplishments of women entrepreneurs March 9 at 9 a.m. at Piper’s Heath Golf Club.

The guest speaker at the breakfast is Emily O’Brien.

“Battling back from addiction and a federal sentence for drug smuggling to building a successful social enterprise (Comeback Snacks) has taught me lessons about resilience, determination, forgiveness and how to take a bad situation and turn it into endless positive opportunities,” said O’Brien.

“As a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator, my mission is to provide a great, uplifting experience with actionable takeaways that will improve mindset, motivation and determination.”
