Bucking GTA trend, condo sale prices dropped in April in Oakville, Burlington, Milton

Despite a surge in condo prices in most of the GTA, buyers are actually getting a bit of a break in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills.
The Greater Toronto Area’s demand for condos rose throughout most of 2022 before eventually slowing down at the end of the year.
Now that buyers are feeling more confident in the spring market, condo prices are once again rising in most areas.
According to the latest data from the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB), overall condo sales grew by 1.8 per cent month-over-month in April 2023 and the average condo price increased from $703,566 in March to $724,118 in April 2023.
Online real estate company Zoocasa analyzed the average condo prices, sales, new listings, and buying conditions between January 2023 and March 2023 in Halton.
The average price for a condo in Halton decreased by 7.54 per cent, from $731,573 to $676,412.
Halton Region sellers were also benefitting as a total of 132 homes were sold in March and 194 new listings were added, leading to a SNLR of 68 per cent.
