Burlington Canal Lift Bridge will be closed on Thursday

Commuters may want to reconsider their route on Thursday (Nov. 11) as the Burlington Canal Lift Bridge in Hamilton will be closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic for repair work.
Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) said from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m the bridge will be closed.
The closure will include sidewalks and the north and south vehicle lanes. Pedestrians, cyclists and motorists can expect delays.
Last month, the federal government agency announced that the bridge would be closed intermittently between Oct. 29 to Nov. 15 for the work.
The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.
Update from the PSPC: the lift bridge will be closed to pedestrian and vehicle traffic on November 11th for construction. Please plan accordingly!
