Burlington driver caught going 165 km per hour

Members of the OPP Highway Safety Division clocked a vehicle travelling at 65 km/h over the speed limit yesterday (July 2) in Burlington.

The vehicle was stopped on Highway 407 near Dundas St. after driving at 165 km/h in a posted 100 km/h speed limit zone.

Police say the driver was seen using the on-ramp on the right side of the highway to pass other vehicles.

The driver of the vehicle was charged with Stunt Driving and received an immediate 14-day vehicle impoundment and 30-day license suspension.
