Burlington’s hospital is encouraging local residents to book a video visit with their loved ones to avoid unnecessary contact.

Joseph Brant Hospital wants friends and families of patients to book a Zoom call to help everyone navigate the pandemic.

“Joseph Brant Hospital has limited access to our hospital to protect the safety of our patients and health care workers,” according to the hospital’s website.

“Wherever possible, families and loved ones are encouraged to connect with patients virtually. A member of our team will work with you and the patient to facilitate the call.”

Calls can be booked Monday to Friday, between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. using Zoom. Appointments must be booked more than 24 hours in advance. All calls are limited to 20 minutes. Wherever possible, the hospital would like you to meet as a group.

Please be advised your visit may be cancelled or re-scheduled without notice due to patient status, care or refusal.

To book a video visit, head to the hospital website.
