Whether you’re a long-time model railroading enthusiast or someone looking to pick up a new hobby, this event is for you.

Burlington’s Model Railway Club (BMRC) is gearing up to showcase the advancements in model railroading tomorrow (July 22).

Established in the 1980s, the club is known for its dedication to the hobby and invites enthusiasts and curious visitors alike to witness the evolution of model railroading over the past decade.

“The introduction of precision electric motors has enhanced the performance of these models, whether it’s a replica of an old-time steam engine or a modern Diesel locomotive,” BMRC’s website stated.

The real game-changer has been the advent of Digital Command Control (DCC). This system has transformed the operational aspects of model railroading, allowing multiple trains to operate seamlessly on a single track, even travelling in different directions simultaneously.

Individuals interested in learning more or checking out the trains for themselves can attend the upcoming public viewing and open houses on Aug. 12, Sept. 9 and Sept 30.
