The City of Burlington recently announced that Movies Under the Stars is returning to the city on Thursday, July 6. For those who aren’t aware, Movies Under the Stars features free film screenings at 9:00 p.m. every Thursday night until Aug. 17.

Each movie will begin at 9 p.m. and will be shown on a large, inflatable screen. If you have little ones, you might be happy to hear that Healthy Kids Community Challenge will be at each event with fun activities and information on healthy snack choices.

“Movies under the Stars is an annual, free event that gives families and friends a great opportunity to spend summer evenings outdoors,” says Chris Glenn, director of Parks and Recreation. “The entertainment brings the community together to have fun and enjoy family movies selected by residents.”

Viewers are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets and arrive early to secure a prime viewing spot.

Please note that in the event of inclement weather, screenings may be cancelled or delayed.

Parking and restroom facilities are available on site.
