Burlington teenager arrested after police investigate break-in, car theft

A daylight break-in and vehicle theft in Burlington has led to charges against a local teenager.
On Tuesday, June 7, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. a home on New St., near Rossmore Blvd. was broken into through a basement window, according to Halton police.
The intruder then stole keys to a vehicle parked in the driveway and used them to steal the vehicle.
The police investigation resulted in the stolen vehicle being located and a suspect being arrested later the same day.
A 17-year-old youth, who cannot be identified due to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with breaking and entering, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of property obtained by crime.
