Burlington Transit collecting bus fare again, adding services

Burlington Transit will be collecting bus fare again, beginning Sept. 1.

Fares had been waved since March as COVID-19 reached its peak.

Fares had been waved since March as COVID-19 reached its peak.

The downtown terminal on John St. will reopen on Aug. 19. SPLIT passes will be available for purchase. One customer will be allowed inside the building at a time.

Burlington Transit says its following provincial and City COVID-19 safety procedures:

  • Wear a mask,
  • Use hand sanitizer often and
  • Give us your name and phone number for contact tracing

Riders will have access to the following services:

  • SPLIT Passes
  • ePurse Loads
  • Free Seniors Pass
  • Lost & Found

Monthly passes and U-Pass Add-ons will not be available.

Burlington Transit is also adding to its service schedule starting Aug. 23.
