Canada Day celebration taking place at Milton Fairgrounds

A big Canada Day celebration is taking place this weekend at the Milton Fairgrounds.

The event, which is taking place this Friday, July 1 at 136 Robert St., will feature live music, entertainment, a variety of food choices, arts and crafts and activities for the whole family.

Entertainment will include the Finnegan School of Irish Dance, magician Tyler Fergus, Ashley LeBlanc, Gavin McLeod, ft. House of Chords, Urban Cowboy, Transistor Radio and $2 Bills.

The night will end with a fireworks display which attendees can watch under the stars.

Attendees are reminded to kindly leave their pets at home.

Gates will open at 2:00 p.m. and admission will be free, however, donations are welcome for the Salvation Army Khi Community. Those who wish to donate can bring unopened, not expired, non-perishable food items on the day of the event.

Most needed items are currently rice, coffee, tea, crackers, cookies, tuna, canned meats, dried beans, lentils and granola bars.
