Car riddled with bullets and set on fire in Halton Hills neighbourhood

A car riddled with bullets and then set ablaze has police trying to find out exactly what went on in Halton Hills early this morning (Nov. 3).

According to reports, firefighters were first called to the scene on Chantelay Cres. near Stewarttown around 2 a.m. to douse the flames engulfing a car parked in a driveway.

When the fire was brought under control investigators found the car was full of bullet holes. Bullet shell casings were also discovered nearby.

No injuries linked to gunplay or the fire have been reported, but police believe this was a targeted incident.

At this point, there have been no arrests but Halton police continue to investigate.
