Caregiver Accused of Stealing Cash From Oakville Senior

An Oakville woman - who worked as a personal support worker (PSW) - is facing theft charges after allegedly stealing money from a senior.

The suspect was arrested by Halton police on Tuesday.

A complaint was filed by the victim’s family - he also lives in Oakville - after noticing irregularities in cash withdrawals from the senior’s bank account.

The suspect “was repeatedly stealing cash from the victim’s wallet,” investigators allege.

Inderjeet Kaur Khakharu, 35, is facing two counts of theft under $5,000.
