Changes at another Burlington golf course? This one’s different
Published September 27, 2023 at 9:39 pm
While the City of Burlington is ready to take on developers over changes to one golf course, it’s preparing to make some changes of its own at another.
Yesterday, the City decided to officially oppose plans to build some homes on the privately operated Millcroft Golf Club and has asked the Provincial government to take up the cause.
But the City-operated Tyandaga Golf Course may soon have its own redevelopment, albeit not for housing.
Burlington is considering reducing the number of holes at Tyandaga and wants to find out if the public agrees.
Plans call for Tyandaga to shrink to nine holes from the current 18 with the rest of the space shifted towards year-round recreational use.
During the next several weeks public information sessions will be held where you can hear about the proposal and provide feedback.
The sessions will take place:
Oct. 11 – Tyandaga Golf Course
1265 Tyandaga Park Dr., 6 – 8 p.m.
