Police are searching for two suspects after a commercial garbage disposal bin valued at $5,000 was stolen in Oakville.

Shortly before 11:30 p.m. on Friday, May 18, police say at least two suspects attended a commercial property located near Wyecroft Road and Dorval Drive.

The suspects reportedly drove two separate vehicles, which were then used to steal the bin.

The first vehicle (see rendering below) is believed to be a white Freightliner commercial truck with a blue light on the rear that turned on when the vehicle was put in reverse. The Freightliner truck was used to remove the bin from the property.

The second vehicle is described as a black Chevy pick-up truck, full cab, with dual rear wheels on the axle. The windows were tinted black, with running boards and the decal 4×4 on the rear panel.

Police say the second vehicle has two distinct features: A big yellow tank attached across the bed of the truck that appeared to be used to transport some type of liquid or fuel, and decorative orange roof lights across the top of the cab. The roof light on the driver’s side was not working.

Anyone who has seen these vehicles or has information regarding this incident can contact police at 905-878-5511 or by emailing [email protected].
