A road closure has been reported following a collision in Burlington today.

A road closure has been reported following a collision in Burlington today.

Around 11:30 a.m., police say a cyclist was seriously injured in a collision at the entrance to Bronte Creek Provincial Park.

Burloak Drive is closed between Mainway Drive and Upper Middle Road as officers investigate.

Residents should avoid the area until further notice.


UPDATE: 

The 32 year old male cyclist from Burlington remains at Hamilton General Hospital with serious injuries, police say.

The driver of the BMW, a 46 year old Burlington man, remained at the scene.

Witnesses are asked to call the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747, ext. 5065.
