Double shooting in Burlington brings appeal for suspect description

Halton police are looking for witnesses to last Saturday’s (June 24) double shooting in Burlington that left two men injured.

Specifically, police need help in identifying the suspect responsible.

Events unfolded around 1:40 a.m. in the parking lot on the south side of Lakeshore Rd. near John St.

Police believe the shooting was not a random act and that both victims were targeted.

The lone gunman is believed to have fled on foot.

If anyone witnessed the incident or saw someone running from the scene, police ask that you provide them with a description of the suspect. They are also asking anyone who may have dash cam video from that time to contact them.

Both victims sustained gunshot injuries and were transported to an area hospital. The first victim, a 25-year-old male, sustained serious injuries. The second victim, a 31-year-old male, received minor injuries.
