Doug Ford visiting Burlington to highlight efforts of local businesses during pandemic

Doug Ford will be in Southern Ontario today (September 3) to highlight how businesses have been providing for Ontarians during the pandemic.
Doug Ford will be in Southern Ontario today (September 3) to highlight how businesses have been providing for Ontarians during the pandemic.
Ford is scheduled to make appearances in Burlington and Hamilton to visit local businesses that have been providing Ontario-made solutions to help combat COVID-19.
Ford’s day will start 9:15 a.m. at the Thames River Chemical Corp. in Burlington. The family-owned-and-operated company based out of Burlington normally provides agricultural and feed products, hydrocarbon, resins, and production chemistry.
However, since the pandemic, the company has altered its facility to be able to produce hand sanitizer in response to shortages that occurred early on during the pandemic.

Then, at 10:45, Ford will be touring the KF Aerospace facility, an aerospace maintenance and engineering firm in Hamilton that is providing hands-on training for students at Mohawk College.
At 1 p.m., the Premier will remain in Hamilton, where he will be joined by Monte McNaughton, Minister of Labour, Training and Skills Development, to make an announcement.
Ford’s day will conclude with a visit to Shalom Village, a non-profit organization that provides for Hamilton’s seniors, and has been helping families visit loved ones in long-term care homes during this crisis.
