Downtown Oakville loses Starbucks

Starbucks most iconic location in Oakville has closed.
The store, located at 225 Lakeshore Rd. E in the heart of downtown Oakville, locked its doors for the last time on Sunday (Oct. 25).
In a post to social media, operators of the store said “It was a honour to serve such wonderful guests.”
The store has been a fixture in downtown Oakville for almost 25 years at its location near Dunn St.
In the summer when the world was COVID-free, customers could be seen lined-up to get their favourite coffee mixture and they would often sit or stand outside of the store.
No immediate reason has been given for the closure.
