Driver with no insurance charged after flight from officers in Brampton: police

Police have temporarily pulled a 24-year-old driver off the road after allegedly driving with no insurance and fleeing from officers.

Peel Regional Police said on Friday (June 2) that officers had stopped a driver in the area of Kenview Blvd. and Castleview Rd. in Brampton.

The driver allegedly tried to flee from police but the driver was arrested and is facing multiple charges including dangerous operation and driving with no insurance.

Photos shared by police from the scene show a white car in a residential area loaded onto a tow truck.

Police have charged the 24-year-old with:

  • Flight From Peace Officer
  • Dangerous Operation
  • Race Motor Vehicle
  • Owner Operate Motor Vehicle on a Highway No Insurance

The accused had their vehicle impounded for 14 days and the driver’s licence has been suspended for 30 days, police said. Police have not released the name of the accused.
