Drivers in Milton and Burlington should plan ahead for highway road closures

There are nearly two dozen planned lane closures on highways in Burlington and Milton this week, so drivers should plan ahead.

Beginning today, Monday, Nov. 20, here are the expected lane closures as the province hurries to get things done before winter arrives.

In Milton:

• Hwy. 401 eastbound between Fifth Line, and Hwy. 407, two alternating lanes closed until Nov. 25 at 5 a.m.
• Hwy. 401 eastbound between Guelph Line and Regional Road 25, two left lanes closed until Nov. 25 at 5 a.m.
• Hwy. 401 eastbound between Regional Road 25 and James Snow Pkwy., three alternating lanes closed until Nov. 25 at 5 a.m.
• Hwy. 401 eastbound express between James Snow Pkwy. and Hwy 407, one alternating lane closed until Nov. 25 at 5 a.m.
• Hwy. 401 eastbound on-ramp at James Snow Pkwy. all lanes closed until Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
• Hwy. 401 eastbound on-ramp at Regional Road 25, all lanes closed until Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
• Hwy. 401 eastbound on-ramp at Trafalgar Rd., all lanes closed until Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
• Hwy. 401 westbound between James Snow Pkwy. and Halton Road 22, two left lanes closed until Nov. 25 at 6 a.m.
• Hwy. 401 westbound between James Snow Pkwy. and Regional Road 25, three alternating lanes closed until Nov. 25 at 5 a.m.
• Hwy. 401 westbound between Trafalgar Rd., and James Snow Pkwy., two alternating lanes closed until Nov. 25 at 5 a.m.
• Hwy. 401 westbound on-ramp at James Snow Pkwy., all lanes closed until Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.
• Hwy. 401 westbound on-ramp at Regional Road 25, all lanes closed until Nov. 30 at 2 p.m.

• Hwy. 403 eastbound on-ramp at Fairview St., all lanes closed until Nov. 24 at 5 a.m.
• Hwy. 403 westbound on-ramp at Brant St., all lanes closed until Nov. 24 at 5 a.m.
• QEW Fort Erie-bound between Brant St. and Fairview St./Plains Rd., one left lane closed until Nov. 24 at 6 a.m.
• QEW Fort Erie-bound between Fairview St./Plains Rd. and Northshore Blvd., one left lane closed until Nov. 24 at 6 a.m.
• QEW Fort Erie-bound between Guelph Line and Brant St., one left lane closed until Nov. 24 at 6 a.m.
• QEW Fort Erie-bound off-ramp at Brant St., one right lane closed until Nov. 24 at 5 a.m.
