Drugs, Weapons, Cars Seized in Major Oakville Drug Bust

 

Three men - including an alleged cocaine trafficker from Oakville - are facing charges in connection with a $12,000 drug bust in which weapons and cars were also seized.

The trio were spotted conducting a suspected drug deal at a commercial parking lot near Bronte Rd. and Westoak Trails, say Halton police.

Investigators from the street crime unit executed a search warrant at the alleged cocaine trafficker’s home on Nov. 17, arresting the man.

A search resulted in the seizure of 6.5 ounces (182 grams) of cocaine; 130 oxycodone tablets; a small amount of marijuana and cannabis resin; 20 diazepam tablets; a replica handgun; a prohibited knife; a prohibited conducted energy weapon (cattle prong).

A 2011 Mercedes Benz GL350 and a 2016 Mercedes Benz B Class were also confiscated.

Kacey John, 35, of Oakville was held for bail and charged with: trafficking cocaine; possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone; possession for the purpose of trafficking diazepam; possession of a controlled substance marijuana; possession of a controlled substance cannabis resin; possession of a prohibited weapon (knife); possession of a prohibited weapon (conducted energy weapon).

Gary Ward, 27, of Burlington, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine; possession of a controlled substance marijuana; possession of a prohibited weapon (knife); possession of a prohibited weapon (knife).

He was released on a promise to appear.

Ryan Vothknecht, 21, of Hamilton, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of a controlled substance marijuana.
