Oshawa man charged in shooting at Oakville home

Halton Regional Police have arrested a Durham man responsible for what they believe is a targeted shooting at an Oakville home back on Dec. 20, 2021.
Police executed a search warrant on Wednesday (March 3) at a residence in Durham and have arrested Terrell Gooden, 23, of Oshawa.
Gooden has been charged with:
- Attempt Murder While Using Restricted Firearm or Prohibited Firearm
- Aggravated Assault
- Carry Concealed Weapon
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Careless Use of Firearm
- Discharge Firearm in Reckless Manner
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Point Firearm
- Fail to Comply with Release Order (3 counts)
- Gooden has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Back on Dec. 20, 2021 at 11:50 p.m., police responded to a shooting in the area of Ernest Appelbe Blvd. and Dundas St. E.
There they found a male victim who was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The male suspect had fled the area prior to the arrival of police.
The lengthy investigation resulted in a total of 27 warrants being authorized, and required the services of numerous HRPS resources including: Intelligence Unit, 2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau, Intimate Partner Violence Unit, Emergency Services Unit, Mobile Surveillance Unit, Cyber Crime Unit, Human Trafficking/Drug Unit and the Regional Fraud Unit.
