East Oakville pool closed for weekend swim meet

Those looking to go for a swim this weekend at the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre Pool will have to look elsewhere.

The eight-lane swimming pool is hosting an Oakville Aquatic Club Swim Meet on both Saturday (Oct. 14) and Sunday (Oct. 15). All registered swimming and drop-in programs are cancelled.

The Iroquois Ridge Community Centre Pool includes a water slide, hydrojets and stair access. A full range of swim classes for ages four to adult, as well as public and private swim lessons, leadership and specialty classes are offered at the local pool.

For other swim opportunities, local residents are asked to visit the Town of Oakville’s public swimming page.

There they will find the price of admission fees and memberships, what they need to know about the pools, swims, and aquatics lessons.

Information is also provided on the swim admission standards, what to do when classes are missed, withdrawals and refunds, inclusion, and support as well they need to know about the universal changerooms.

Residents should note that admission and capacity restrictions apply. Schedules are subject to change.
