Extrication team helps Oakville driver trapped in car

A driver of an SUV had to be rescued by emergency crews in Oakville this morning.
According to Halton police reports, the SUV was travelling westbound on William Halton Blvd. just after 11 a.m. today (June 1) when the vehicle left the road and slammed into a pole before settling into a heavily treed area.
The female driver was briefly trapped before being extricated by crews from the Oakville Fire Department.
She was attended to by paramedics at the scene but her injuries were not considered serious.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash and have not indicated if charges will be filed.
