Oakville road closed construction detour

A year-long resurfacing project will affect a significant portion of James Snow Pkwy. N. in Milton.

The road, from Escarpment Way to Mount Pleasant Way, will be undergoing the construction to help extend its life cycle. The project will begin later this month and last until next autumn.

Improvements will include:

  • road repairs and resurfacing
  • guiderail replacements
  • driveway paving to property line on a case-by-case basis for each property (impacted properties will be notified in advance)
  • new pavement markings
  • minor ditch regrading and culvert cleanouts
  • improved signage

The Region says the project won’t affect things like garbage pickup and mail delivery in the largely industrial/commercial area.

Wherever it’s possible driveway access limitations will be kept to a minimum and local businesses will be given plenty of advance notice if they will be affected.

There could be significant traffic delays and lane closures or restrictions in the area that could impact local drivers.

Updates to the construction schedule will be available on the Halton Region Road Resurfacing Program webpage.
