Four Oakville patios on list of Top 100 outdoor restaurants to grab a meal

When it comes to outdoor dining, Oakville has no shortage of great restaurants to take in the warm summer weather and enjoy a great meal.

According to the newly released list of the 100 Most Popular Outdoor Dining Restaurants in Canada for 2023, four of the best places to enjoy an outdoor meal on the patio are right in our backyard.

Cucci Ristorante, Harpers Landing, Trattoria Timone and Verace Restaurant are among the best in the country when it comes to enjoying an al fresco meal.

The annual list of the most popular outdoor restaurants are based on over 1 million OpenTable dinner reviews for locations offering unforgettable outdoor dining experiences, tasty food and great views.

Ontario leads the way restaurants on the list with 21, followed by British Columbia with 21, Quebec with nine, Alberta with seven and four in Atlantic Canada.

Located on 119 Jones St., Cucci Ristorante earned an overall rating of 4.7 on OpenTable reviews.

“Cucci can be described as warm and discreet, a dining room for those that haven’t forgotten the pleasures of dining with friends,” OpenTable said of the Italian restaurant which often finds itself on to favourite restaurant lists.

Located on 481 Cornwall Rd., Harper’s Landing drew an overall rating of 4.4 by OpenTable reviewers.

“The Landing is an open concept restaurant and patio, with a wide range of menu items all made in house to provide you a fresh and satisfying meal,” said OpenTable. “The menu has a wide range of options including vegan and gluten free. A full service bar featuring exclusive wines and cocktails. It’s stylish atmosphere and detailed service offer you a casual yet refined dining experience.

“Try any one of the signature cocktails created by their own mixologists, which use fresh ingredients and new flavors.

Located on 2091 Winston Park Dr., Trattoria Timone Ristorante have an overall rating of 4.8 on OpenTable.

One reviewer  on the site, named Brandonk, gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.

“Fantastic restaurant,” Brandonk said. “I love their food service and atmosphere, a great place to celebrate any milestone. Family friendly yet upscale, and a good price considering the portions and quality of the food.

“Very Italian feel, Can’t wait to return!”

Located on 312 Lakeshore Rd. E. (Unit 3-5) in downtown Oakville, Verace Restaurant is another local Italian restaurant that scored big with OpenTable customers.

It also scored high with an overall rating of 4.7.

One reviewer gave it a perfect 5 out of 5 rating.

“My daughters and I took my wife for Mother’s Day late-brunch. Excellent food, drinks and service,” said Neil B. on OpenTable. “Highly enjoyable experience. My wife was very happy.”

The release of the outdoor dining list comes just ahead of the Victoria Day long weekend and at a perfect time for , food lovers to kick off their summer patio season.
