Free entry at Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens celebrates coronation of King Charles III

To celebrate the coronation of King Charles III the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) will offer a day of free admission.
Saturday, May 6 is the day that King Charles officially becomes Canada’s head of state and the RBG and several other public attractions will waive usual fees in his honour.
On most days admission to the RBG ranges from $13.82 to $22.74.
The occasion marks the first coronation of a Canadian head of state in seven decades.
Along with the RBG, the Ontario government has waived fees for several other provincial attractions on May 6.
Other cultural attractions offering free admission on May 6 include:
- Art Gallery of Ontario
- Fort William Historical Park
- McMichael Canadian Art Collection
- Niagara Parks’ Butterfly Conservatory and Floral Showhouse
- Ontario Science Centre
- Royal Ontario Museum
- Sainte-Marie among the Hurons
- Science North
- Upper Canada Village
As well, 39 provincial parks will offer free admission on the day as part of the celebrations.
