It’s big, it’s beefy, (it’s conveniently happening just in time to pack on some insulation for winter), and features burgers from more than 20 restaurants in Burlington.

And we, as always, are certainly ready to get our eat on: Novemburger 2017 begins at midnight on Nov. 1.

The annual event was launched in 2014 as a way to bring new business to Hamilton restaurants while raising money for the United Way.

The festival was an instant hit, according to organizers, with the 31 participating restaurants selling nearly 7,000 burgers in 30 days.

More restaurants have joined the movement, and subsequently, many patties have been formed and grilled to perfection.

(Side note: at least three restos which made our Top 5 Burgers in Burlington list is taking part!)

Each restaurant creates a unique signature burger as their entry into the festival, which is then dubbed their ‘Novemburger.’

Burger enthusiasts visit participating restaurants, scarf down the Novemburgers, and rate them online for 30 days.

Some serious bragging rights are at stake: there’s one winner for the most Novemburgers sold, and another champ for Novemburger of the Year.

All 70+ Novemburgers are being revealed at midnight on Nov. 1.

More than $25,000 has been raised for the United Way in Halton and Hamilton to date.
