Dragutin Maljevac matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in exact order in the Sept. 5 Ontario 49 draw and is now $100,000 richer.

A 69-year-old married father of four, Dragutin discovered his win when he asked his wife to help him check his ticket on OLG.ca. “She read out the numbers while I checked the ticket,” he shared, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to collect his cheque. “I remember saying, ‘That’s not right’, and I had no reaction!”

As his wife was checking the numbers, Dragutin immediately told her that he had won! “She couldn’t believe it either – she thought it was a joke,” he recalled.

The retiree hasn’t decided what to do with his winnings yet. “I want to spend the money and enjoy the win. I’m not sure what I am going to buy yet but I am going to treat myself,” he concluded.
