With Halloween just around the corner (how did that happen so fast?), you might be thinking about partaking in some spooky activities in Oakville.

And if you’re not thinking about enjoying a haunted house, a ghost walk (they’re hugely fun and popular and you owe it to yourself to check a local-ish one out if you can) or a really good All Hallows Eve party, you should be.

And fortunately for you, haunted walks are taking place right here in town.

The Oakville Historical Society is taking reservations for Ghost Walk Tours in old Oakville.

The tours, which take participants on guided walks around specific (and appropriately spooky) areas of town, are taking place from Monday to Saturday at 110 King St.

Residents and visitors can pick from a slew of dates and times, as the walks will take place at 6:30 p.m., 7:15 p.m., and 8 p.m.

Adult tours are approximately one hour, while tours with young kids are 45 minutes.

Ghost Walks prices for 2017 remain at $12 per adult and $6 for children 12 and under. Infants are free.

All walks must be paid for before the event takes place.

Keep in mind, groups of young children must have one adult for every four to five youngsters. Each adult must be assigned specific children and know their names.

Advanced reservations are strongly suggested to avoid disappointment.

You can take a haunting look back into Oakville’s past … You’ll learn, and even have a little fun with the family.

Walks are cancelled if thunder is heard (details given in your reservation request will allow staff to contact you).

For groups, other guided tours are offered year-round.
