Brand new name, same great fundraiser.

Halton Women’s Place is hosting a pair of fundraising walks in September, one each in Milton and Burlington, to help end violence against women and show support for those affected by gender-based violence in the community.

Previously called Hope in High Heels, the walks have been rebranded this year as Hope in Every Step.

“By walking with us, you will not only show your support for survivors but also raise critical funds for Halton Women’s Place, the only women’s shelter in Halton,” said a spokesperson for the event.

“We will march, walk and stride towards raising awareness and funds for those affected by domestic violence. By participating in Hope in Every Step, you become an essential part of the solution, amplifying the voices of survivors, and working towards a society free from violence.”

The walks will be held in Milton on Sept. 23 and Burlington on Sept. 24.
