Class may be out, but there’s still plenty of work being done this summer at an Oakville private school.

MacLachlan College’s Trafalgar campus, located at 337 Trafalgar Rd, is undergoing renovations on its upper school space, exterior and outdoor spaces.

Last year new floors and lighting were installed and this summer work on updating the Level 2 space at the 1856 mansion, historically known as the “Grand Old Lady of Trafalgar,” began in early July.

“Our goal is to create a welcoming, functional, and nurturing environment for our amazing students and MAC community,” said the educational institute. “From revitalized facades to modernized outdoor spaces, we’re committed to creating a vibrant and inspiring campus for everyone to enjoy.

“Stay tuned as we continue to unveil more updates and the remarkable changes taking place. We can’t wait to share the final results with you all!”

MacLachlan College offers classes from pre-kindergarten to Grade 12.

The private school was started by Audrey Hadfield in 1978 in a small space above a storefront on Lakeshore Rd. in downtown Oakville. She had eight students

Nearly 45 years later, the educational institution has over 350 students attending.
