‘Guaranteed fireworks’ at two Oakville restaurants on list of most romantic eateries in Canada

They say food is the language of love and with Valentine’s Day just around the corner two Italian restaurants in Oakville are among best when it comes to speaking the lingo.
A list of the Top 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in Canada for 2023 released Wednesday (Feb. 1) by popular booking site OpenTable included local diners Cucci Ristorante and Trattoria Timone.
Created by analyzing over a million reviews gathered from diners between Dec. 1, 2021, and Nov. 30, 2022, the two local restaurants were right up there when it comes to the best places to enjoy a romantic Valentine’s Day meal.
“Food is its own love language, but when it’s served in a cozy room or a candlelit booth? Guaranteed fireworks,” said OpenTable.
Italian restaurants topped the list of Valentine favourite locations with 25 per cent of the reviewers followed by steakhouses (16 per cent) and Canadian cuisine (14 per cent).
Located at 119 Jones St., Cucci has a rating of 4.7 out five stars by reviewers.

The “warm and discreet dining room” offers several tasty dishes, with the Lobster Bisque, Venison Short Loin and Caesar Salad among the most popular dishes.
“The food was generously portioned and super delicious. The ambiance was great and service was top tier,” said Brii, on an OpenTable review posted two days ago.
The sparks are almost certain to fly at Trattoria Timone, located in the Oakville Entertainment Centrum on 2091 Winston Park Dr.
Reviews give the restaurant a 4.7 rating of five stars overall. Favourite dishes include the warm Seafood Salad, Crispy Crab Cake and Jumbo Seafood Ravioli.
“Service was fast and efficient,” said Beatrice P., who gave the restaurant a perfect five-star rating in an OpenTable review. “The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious.
“The grilled calamari and sea food pasta was delicious and would recommend them both.”
