In order to protect the Town’s most vulnerable residents, Halton Hills has established the Community Support Action Team (CSAT).

In order to protect the Town’s most vulnerable residents, Halton Hills has established the Community Support Action Team (CSAT).

In order to help those impacted by the pandemic, the CSAT has developed a registry of resources available to residents who cannot access essential goods through other support networks, who are self-isolating due to compromised immune status, who are financially insecure, or who are experiencing mental health challenges due to isolation.

“The CSAT is a terrific resource for our community and I’m pleased that we are able to help bridge the gap for residents to access services of other levels of government,” Mayor Rick Bonnette said in a news release.

“Connecting residents to agencies and organizations is fundamental to taking care of those in our community,” he continued.

Residents in need of assistance are instructed to contact Service Halton Hills by phone at 905-873-2600 or email, and a staff member will direct them to the appropriate support registry.

These services include food security, mental health support, housing, youth services, active living and community safety.

“Our staff work with community supports on a daily basis,” Brent Marshall, Chief Administrative Officer Brent for the Town of Halton Hills, said in the same release.

“Staff has the ability to be flexible and adaptive and the establishment of the CSAT reflects current priorities,” he continued.
