Halton Hills intersection will be closed to allow installation of new watermain

A watermain installation project is going to shut down a Halton Hills intersection for several weeks.
Halton Region is expanding the water and wastewater systems on 10 Side Road, Eighth Line, and Mountainview Rd. S., in Wards 2 and 4, in Georgetown.
Beginning Aug. 28, at 7 a.m., vehicle access on Barber Dr., to and from 10 Side Road, will be closed at the intersection.
This closure is needed to allow the watermain installation through the intersection and is expected to last until Sept. 15.
Traffic will be detoured using Eighth Line, Danby Rd., and Mountainview Rd. S. Motorists should expect delays when traveling through the area. Access to and from the multi-use pathway along 10 Side Road will be maintained.
No disruption to waste collection or mail delivery is expected.
