Halton Police Investigating Numerous Vehicle Thefts in Acton

​​On May 29, 2019, at approximately 5:40 am, a vehicle fire was reported in the parking lot of the St. Alban’s Church located on St. Alban Drive in Acton.

​​On May 29, 2019, at approximately 5:40 am, a vehicle fire was reported in the parking lot of the St. Alban’s Church located on St. Alban Drive in Acton.

When officers arrived they found two pickup trucks parked side-by-side fully engulfed in flames. Police learned that the two trucks had recently been stolen from the Wellington County area. The intensity of the fire had also damaged windows to the St. Albans Church.

A short time after the incident, three vehicles were reported stolen from the Acton area; two pickup trucks and one SUV.

The SUV was found and recovered almost immediately in Acton and one of the pickup trucks was located in the Town of Erin later in the morning.

At this time one pickup remains outstanding.

Police believe that all vehicle thefts and recoveries are related.
