Halton police seize several items after drug trafficking raid

The Halton Regional Police Service says a drug trafficking investigation has led to several charges against a 51-year-old man.

James “Jimmy” Antaloczy was allegedly observed conducting multiple drug transactions at a restaurant in the City of Burlington, which led to a raid in the man’s home town of Brantford on Thursday (Jan 16, 2020).

Police say they seized:

  • 1 Marlin 30-30 lever-action rifle (unloaded)
  • 30 grams of cocaine
  • 328 oxycodone pills
  • 8 hydromorphone pills
  • 22 Cialis pills
  • 4 Viagra pills
  • 11 ecstasy pills
  • $485.00 Canadian currency
  • 3 cellular telephones
  • A digital scale

Halton police say the total street value of the drugs was approximately $10,570.

James Antaloczy was charged with the following offences:

  • Trafficking, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking x 7
  • Contravention of Storage Regulations of a Firearm
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm

The Brantford man was released on a promise to appear in court.
