Halton roofer wins quarter of a million dollars

Alan Hyatt of Norval is $250,000 richer after winning with Instant Sonic Multiplayer from OLG.

The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K on Guelph Street in Georgetown.

I am a regular lottery player and I love playing Instant games,” shared Alan, 58, while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his cheque.

The roofer discovered his win on a Sunday morning shortly after playing his ticket.

When I saw the prize amount, my heart started pounding,” Alan recalled. “I told my sister right away and she couldn’t believe it. At first, I planned on keeping the news to myself, but then I ended up texting everyone I knew out of excitement.”

Alan plans to save and invest.

This is going to help my retirement so much,”  he concluded. “I want to travel Canada one day. But for now, I am going to settle into my new status as a lottery winner.”

The OLG Prize Centre in Toronto is now accepting in-person prize claim appointments for winning ticket holders of $10,000 or more. Appointments for prizes of this value will be granted if requested, however, prizes up to $49,999.90 do not have to be claimed in-person and customers are encouraged to continue to mail in these claims when possible.
