The search for your next dinner spot just ended. Hamilton’s patio restaurant, Limani Taverna, just reopened for the season this month (May 5, to be exact).

The spacious restaurant, spanning over 5,000 square feet, is located inside the picturesque Fifty Point Conservation Park, nestled on the docks of Lake Ontario.

The menu offers a wide variety of dishes and fans of traditional Greek fare can enjoy several staples, including saganaki (flaming cheese), traditional Greek dips (tzatziki, taramosalata, and hummus, to name a few ), spanakopita, gyros, souvlaki dinners and more. The resto also offers some Italian dishes, including pizza and arancini.

The menu also features salads, sandwiches, burgers and desserts.

The restaurant is owned by the Dimitropoulos family, who previously operated the Landing Restaurant from 1994-2000. Unfortunately, they were forced to walk away due to unforeseen circumstances.

However, when they learned that the space was available again in 2018, the family decided to seize the opportunity and open the Taverna.

“Keeping in mind the tradition and taste started by my father, but with a fresh start and updated flavours and newly renovated interior and exterior of the restaurant, we bring to you Limani,” said the owner, George Dimitropoulos, in an announcement.

The restaurant also offers catering services.

Editor’s note: This article has been updated to clarify that the restaurant is not new, but has reopened for the season. We regret the error.
